OpenSDL defines portable virtual-laboratory assets and the tooling needed to validate, package, distribute, cache, and materialize them across systems.

Its asset contract and lab CLI remain independent of SciLaxy. The two projects meet at immutable OCI references, allowing the same OpenSDL package to work with a ScienceOL-hosted Hub or another compatible registry.
