Marketplace

The marketplace is where users share agents and skills with the community. Publish your creations for others to discover, or fork existing agents to customize them for your needs.

Browsing

The marketplace is organized into sections:

  • Official Picks — Curated agents recommended by the SciLaxy team
  • Trending — Popular agents based on recent activity
  • Recently Published — The latest community contributions

You can search by name, description, or capability. Each listing shows the agent's description, tools, and usage statistics.

Publishing Agents

To publish an agent to the marketplace:

  1. Open the agent you want to publish
  2. Click Publish to Marketplace
  3. Choose the fork mode:
    • Editable — Other users can see and modify the agent configuration
    • Locked — The configuration is hidden; users can use the agent but not see how it's built
  4. Add a description and tags
  5. Submit for listing

Published agents are snapshots — the marketplace listing reflects the agent's configuration at the time of publishing. Updates to your local agent don't automatically propagate to the published version.

Forking Agents

When you find an agent you like in the marketplace:

  1. Open the agent listing
  2. Click Fork
  3. A copy is created in your personal agent list
  4. Customize the forked agent as needed

Forked agents are fully independent — changes you make don't affect the original, and vice versa.

If the original agent was published as Locked, the fork preserves the agent's configuration but hides it from editing. You can still use the agent and modify its name, description, and tool selection.

Skill Marketplace

Skills have their own section in the marketplace with the same publishing and discovery flow:

  • Browse available skills by category
  • Publish your skills for others to install
  • Install community skills and attach them to your agents

See Skills for details on creating skill packages.
